Even money favourite The Heir sat a distant third chasing the tearaway leaders and after hitting the lead 150 out, he drew clear for a fourth win from 37 starts. He relished a return to the Valley 1,200m of two late season wins after two encouraging runs to start at Sha Tin. Live Wire kept on well for second after prompting the hot pace of Honest Witness. It was a solid effort up in grade carrying 10lb less following a win. Aurio got going late near the inside to just take third after making his run three from the rear. It was an honest run Storming Dragon just lost third after a prominent run engaging a 7lb claimer. He's improved from one run to the next in his three starts this term. Triple Fortune just missed a top four spot after a rails run from better than midfield. It was a much-improved effort at his second local start. Thunder Kit ran on without threatening after making his run second last from gate eight. Honest Witness succumbed to finish next best after whizzing along in front from gate two. Prestige Always was withdrawn by order of the stewards on veterinary advice.

Horse No 1 AURIO (K056) Z Purton Over the concluding stages had some difficulty obtaining clear running when improving to the outside of LIVE WIRE which shifted out slightly.

Horse No 2 MOTOR (K165) K C Leung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 5 THUNDER KIT (L121) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.

After travelling a short distance was eased to avoid LIVE WIRE which shifted in slightly.

Approaching the 200 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of STORMING DRAGON to continue into clear running.

Horse No 7 THE HEIR (H459) C Y Ho Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 8 HONEST WITNESS (K283) M F Poon A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 LIVE WIRE (L142) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 12 THUNDER ACTION (L314) M L Yeung The tongue fit was replaced on arrival at the Start.

Horse No 6 PRESTIGE ALWAYS (J300) H Y Yuen Was withdrawn at the barriers by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice after it was found to be lame in its left front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, PRESTIGE ALWAYS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

1.

7 October 2026 Happy Valley Racemeeting Race 4 (82) Trainer K H Ting pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 50(2) in that he failed to prevent the administration of a prohibited substance inside the recommended withdrawal period for BIG BIG WORLD which was Standby Declared Starter 1 for the above-mentioned race, which resulted in the horse being a pre-declaration withdrawal from the event.

Mr Ting was fined the sum of $10,000 and advised that he must implement better management systems within his stable to prevent a similar occurrence in future.

In considering penalty the Stewards took into consideration Mr Ting reported the matter to the Stewards.

13 September 2026 Sha Tin Racemeeting Race 8 (26) EVER LUCK - A further assessment of the heart condition did not reveal any significant findings.

Whip Rule Offences - 4 October 2026 Sha Tin Racemeeting The following jockey was found to be in breach of Rule 100(3)(ii)(a) for using the whip on consecutive occasions:- Race 3 (70) A Badel (SKY VINO) - 2 consecutive strides near the 150 Metres - Severe Reprimand Race 5 (72) J Orman (SUPREME AGILITY) - 2 consecutive strides near the 250 Metres - Reprimand Race 5 (72) J Orman (SUPREME AGILITY) was reprimanded in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 250 Metres.

Race 9 (76) L Ferraris (CORLEONE) was warned in relation to using his whip forward of the saddle in a forehand manner on one occasion near the 400 Metres.
