Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (71) - LO WAI HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 TURBO JEFFERIES (L328) H Bentley Commenced to over-race passing the 1000 Metres and then was steadied to avoid the heels of PERIDOT near the 900 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, TURBO JEFFERIES will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 3 SEA DIAMOND (L072) H Y Yuen Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
The performance of SEA DIAMOND, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, SEA DIAMOND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 4 RATTAN GALAXY (K143) L Ferraris L Ferraris reported that his mount was under pressure from the 600 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of RATTAN GALAXY, a last start winner, was considered disappointing.
Before being allowed to race again, RATTAN GALAXY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 5 MADE FOR LIFE (L005) R Kingscote Slow to begin.
Horse No 6 PERIDOT (K148) J Orman Near the 150 Metres was checked when racing between LIGHTNING ACE which shifted out slightly and COLOURFUL WINNER (M L Yeung) which shifted in.
M L Yeung was severely reprimanded for failing to make an effort to keep his mount on a straight course.
In arriving at this decision the Stewards took into consideration there was some contributing factors with LIGHTNING ACE shifting out.
J Orman reported that his instructions were to settle in a midfield position, however, with a change of gear and a more favourable barrier draw he was able to take up a more forward position than expected.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 SPEEDY TRIDENT (K230) K Teetan Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid the heels of PERIDOT when it shifted in.
K Teetan reported that his mount never travelled at any stage during the race.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 THE ALL ROUNDER (K402) C Y Ho Near the 500 Metres was restrained off the heels of TURBO JEFFERIES.
Was unable to improve its position from the 500 Metres when held up for clear running until near the 400 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 COLOURFUL WINNER (J312) M L Yeung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 10 SMART CITY (J213) B Avdulla A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) C L Chau A short distance after the start was crowded for room between RATTAN GALAXY and SEA DIAMOND which shifted in before being straightened.
Was unable to improve its position from the 500 Metres when held up for clear running until near the 300 Metres.
Horse No 12 TEAM HAPPY (J218) M F Poon Slow into stride.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 SUPERB GUY (K323) Z Purton Slow to begin and was then crowded between RATTAN GALAXY and MY FLYING ANGEL, both of which shifted ground slightly.
Near the 900 Metres was restrained off the heels of THE ALL ROUNDER.
Horse No 14 SUPREME WINNER (J255) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No HE WAS ME (J535) A Atzeni Withdrawn on 3.10.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter SPEEDY TRIDENT.
Before being allowed to race again, HE WAS ME will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Heavily backed Team Happy drove underneath Lightning Ace to lead 750m out and kept up a strong gallop for back-to-back wins to start the campaign. He's in a rich vein of form. Supreme Winner ran on nicely for second after improving to travelling midfield on the fence coming to the final bend. He was able to build on a near win three runs ago off a higher mark. Favourite The All Rounder ran on well for third after pushing into the open for a clear run near the 300m following a one-off trip from behind midfield. He is trending towards a win. Specked late Made For Life came from near last to grab fourth.
