Race Seven : (63) - CHONGQING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 MASTER CHAMPION (K266) H Y Yuen Raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres.
Horse No 2 LIGHT YEARS GLORY (K204) L Ferraris L Ferraris reported that it was not the pre-race plan to have his mount as forward today, however, due to the pace of the race in the middle stages being run outside of standard time he was left with no other option but to obtain a position outside the lead.
Horse No 3 EVER WEALTH (L317) C Y Ho Had its left hind plate refitted in the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Over-raced in the middle stages.
C Y Ho reported that the tactics adopted today were as per his pre-race instructions.
Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued.
Horse No 6 SPIRITED STEED (L278) Z Purton Whilst obliged to race wide throughout the event, Z Purton could offer no other explanation for the horse's performance.
Trainer K W Lui stated that the horse was not suited today by being caught wide and the pace of the race being run outside of standard time in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 HIGH RISE VICTORY (L128) K C Leung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 KA YING RADIANCE (K134) M F Poon Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 VICTORY CHAMPION (K240) A Badel A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils and to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
As this was the second occasion that VICTORY CHAMPION had bled, the horse is ineligible to run in any race conducted by the Club in the future.

Cavamazing settled midfield on the rails and split rivals one off the fence to take control 100m out for a maiden win at his second start. The step up to 1,200m worked the oracle after a non-threatening effort on debut over the straight 1,000m. Post-time favourite Ka Ying Radiance just got up for second after a box-seat run. He is close to winning a race with seconds in two of his past three starts. Riding High held on for third after dictating the pace from gate nine. He's always a chance over the Sha Tin 1,200m. Light Years Glory gradually faded after rushing forward from gate 11 to sit second.
