Race Five : (50) - SWALLOW HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 CAUSEWAY KING (L196) H Y Yuen Shifted out at the start, resulting in its rider having to correct her mount.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 CENTRAL BANK (L222) Z Purton Near the 500 Metres was steadied to avoid M M CONCORD.
Horse No 3 WATCH LEGEND (L313) E C W Wong A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 NATURAL HIGH (J365) C L Chau Near the 700 Metres was eased to avoid M M CONCORD which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (J039) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 BRIGHT MORTAR (K333) Y L Chung Slow to begin.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 M M CONCORD (L076) M Chadwick Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 JOLTIN (L186) R Kingscote Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 10 NOBLE DELUXE (K052) A Atzeni Hampered on jumping.
A Atzeni stated that his intention was to hold a more forward position but his mount did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to do so.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
The performance of NOBLE DELUXE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE DELUXE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 11 RAGING WARRIOR (L401) J Orman Jumped only fairly.
Shortly after the start was hampered when taken out by NOBLE DELUXE which was taken out by CAUSEWAY KING.
Raced greenly throughout the early stages and near the 800 Metres became unbalanced when momentarily crowded between DASHING PEACH and NOBLE DELUXE which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 12 DASHING PEACH (L066) L Hewitson Bumped at the start.
The performance of DASHING PEACH, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, DASHING PEACH will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No DAY DAY VICTORY (J423) K Teetan Withdrawn on 26.9.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter RAGING WARRIOR.
Before being allowed to race again, DAY DAY VICTORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Well-backed Causeway King was much too smart after clearing to lead 750m out from gate 10 under a 10lb claimer for a first win at his fifth local start. He appreciated the claimer's allowance, downgrade, switch in surfaces and move to blinkers. Punted late Armour War Eagle stayed on well for second after settling behind midfield on the fence. He has honest form over the dirt 1,200m. Newcomer Raging Warrior made up heaps of ground late to snatch third after binding his time second last from gate 12 with late market action. It was a solid debut effort on the back of a muddling pace. Central Bank ran on nicely for fourth after a wide trip travelling beyond midfield from gate nine. It was a good first effort on this surface. Favourite Bright Mortar jumped slowly.
