Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (26) - WAH FU HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 SOLID STATE (L411) A Badel Shifted in at the start and made contact with STRAIGHT TO GLORY.
Over the final 500 Metres lay in under pressure.
A Badel pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 750 Metres (see STRAIGHT TO GLORY).
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 DRAGON AIR FORCE (J279) M Chadwick A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 STRAIGHT TO GLORY (K340) K C Leung Bumped on jumping.
A Badel (SOLID STATE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 750 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of STRAIGHT TO GLORY, resulting in STRAIGHT TO GLORY having to be checked.
A Badel was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 23 September 2026 and to expire on Monday, 28 September 2026 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays).
In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record.
Horse No 6 METRO POWER (K408) L Hewitson On jumping was bumped by MICKLEY.
As a result METRO POWER shifted out and made contact with ALPHA STRIKE.
Near the 200 Metres was inconvenienced when ALPHA STRIKE hung in.
L Hewitson reported that when bumped at the start his mount became unbalanced and as a result lost ground.
Horse No 7 LA FORZA (J285) B Avdulla Shifted out on jumping and made contact with LUCKY CANDY.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 MICKLEY (K082) A Atzeni Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Approaching the 100 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of STRAIGHT TO GLORY to continue into clear running.
Horse No 9 EVER LUCK (K235) J Orman Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by STRAIGHT TO GLORY.
J Orman stated that his mount gave ground under pressure over the final 300 Metres but could offer no explanation for the horse's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have a heart condition which requires further assessment.
Horse No 10 ALPHA STRIKE (L019) E C W Wong Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between CONGHUA GALAXY and METRO POWER which shifted out.
Hung in over the final 500 Metres when placed under pressure and as a result shifted considerable ground and proved difficult to ride out.
A warning was placed on the racing manners of ALPHA STRIKE.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 CONGHUA GALAXY (L337) L Ferraris Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by ALPHA STRIKE.
Horse No 12 INVINCIBLE STEED (L312) C Y Ho C Y Ho reported that after shifting to the inside of LA FORZA near the 300 Metres his mount lay in under pressure over the final 300 Metres.
Horse No 13 LUCKY CANDY (L041) K Teetan On jumping was crowded between LA FORZA and MASTER CHAMPION, both of which shifted ground.
Horse No 14 MASTER CHAMPION (K266) R Kingscote Bumped at the start.

Smashed late in betting, Alpha Strike kept finding on the speed from gate 10 despite proving difficult to steer over the latter stages for a second win over the straight 1,000m from seven starts. Throat surgery worked the oracle. Odds-on favourite Solid State stayed on well for second travelling third on the stands side from gate 14. It was a good run carrying 10lb more with a step back in distance after an impressive win on his local debut over 1,200m. Punted late Conghua Galaxy stayed on well for third travelling better than midfield from gate 11. It was encouraging run on his local debut.
