Racing Incident Report
Race Ten : (28) - YIU TUNG HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 SOVEREIGN FUND (J402) K Teetan Over the final 150 Metres raced tight to the inside of RUN RUN SMART.
Horse No 2 AEROVOLANIC (K400) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 ALL OUT FOR SIX (L193) M Chadwick Near the 900 Metres raced keenly when being eased to obtain a position with cover behind AEROVOLANIC.
On a number of occasions near the 350 Metres was hampered when bumped by NYX GLUCK which shifted out to improve.
Horse No 4 FLOW WATER FLOW (K562) B Avdulla Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 350 Metres and the 100 Metres.
Near the 100 Metres improved into a narrow run between AEROVOLANIC and RUN RUN SMART and as a result raced tight between the 100 Metres and the 50 Metres.
Horse No 7 MEANINGFUL DRAGON (H453) P N Wong When giving ground near the 200 Metres raced in restricted room between MONEY GAMES and FLOW WATER FLOW which shifted in.
Apprentice P N Wong stated that she was obliged to make too much use of the horse in the early stages to go forward and as a result MEANINGFUL DRAGON was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 MONEY GAMES (L402) J Orman When questioned J Orman stated that after settling back in the field he commenced a forward move making the Home Turn with the intention of following the favourite in the race NYX GLUCK.
He said near the 400 Metres when he observed NYX GLUCK to be held up and experiencing difficulty obtaining clear running he then elected to shift to the inside of FLOW WATER FLOW to obtain clear running.
He said after improving to the inside of FLOW WATER FLOW near the 300 Metres MONEY GAMES then became badly held up near the 200 Metres behind RUN RUN SMART and could not be tested until near the 50 Metres.
After considering his explanation the Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Orman were reasonable in the circumstances.
Horse No 10 WINNING GOLD (H461) C L Chau C L Chau stated that the horse was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and in the circumstances he was satisfied with the horse's finishing effort.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 BIG RETURN (K192) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 12 NYX GLUCK (K438) Z Purton For some distance after the 400 Metres was held up for clear running behind AEROVOLANIC.
Near the 350 Metres was shifted to the outside of AEROVOLANIC to obtain clear running and as a result made contact with ALL OUT FOR SIX on a number of occasions.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 RISING PHOENIX (J498) M F Poon Slow to begin.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 14 FLYING KNIGHT (K370) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.

Whip Rule Offences- 6 September 2026 Sha Tin Racemeeting Race 1 (1) L Ferraris (RUNJEET) was reprimanded in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 50 Metres.

Whip Rule Offences - 9 September 2026 Happy Valley Racemeeting Race 5 (15) M L Yeung (CHINA WIN) was warned for using his whip forward of the saddle in a forehand manner on one occasion near the 25 Metres.

Favourite Nyx Gluck settled midfield on the rails and got a gap at the 200m to sprint to the lead 60m out for back-to-back wins and first in Class Three following a stable change. He has the tools to head higher. Aerovolanic stayed on well for second after sitting third with cover from gate six. He is as honest as the day is long over 1,400m. Old-timer Chiu Chow Spirit ran on late through the centre for third after making his run at the rear from gate 12. He has proven first up form. Flow Water Flow stayed on well for fourth after getting held up at times in the straight drive following a rails run from behind midfield.
