Recap by phillip woo

Outsider No Other Choice settled one off behind midfield from gate 10 before sprinting to the lead 200m out and bursting clear for a maiden success at his 16th start. The return to the Valley worked the oracle after producing a third two runs ago at Sha Tin. Favourite Lakeshore Hero ran on nicely for second without menacing the winner after a wide trip without cover travelling midfield. He's a winner waiting to happen with seconds in back-to-back runs at this level. Punted late Oriental Surprise finished well along the inside for third after a rails run from midfield. He's as honest as the day is long but has trouble winning. Macanese Master kept plugging away for fourth after sitting on the back of the leader and late fancied Lean Master from gate four. He's an honest sprinter across both surfaces in this grade. Swagger Bro ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from midfield. He should find his mark shortly in this grade. Thousand Cups just plodded when asked for more after a box-seat run from gate one. He's limited. Vigor Elleegant ran on without threatening travelling second last after a tardy start.
