Racing Incident Report
Race One : (11) - ADMIRALTY HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 FLASH STAR (K431) R Kingscote Shortly after the start was bumped and became unbalanced.
R Kingscote stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to go forward as connections were of the opinion there was not significant pace engaged in the race.
He added that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount failed to respond and gave ground.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 FORTUNE SUPERNOVA (K287) C L Chau After travelling a short distance was crowded between NOBLE FANS and STORMY KNIGHT which shifted out.
Over the final 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running and as a result could not be fully tested to the finish.
Horse No 4 STORMY KNIGHT (L062) B Avdulla Approaching the 50 Metres was hampered when taken in by ALWAYS FLUKE.
Horse No 5 AUTUMN VIBES (K150) Z Purton Jumped awkwardly.
Was left racing wide and without cover from the 600 Metres.
Horse No 6 ALWAYS FLUKE (H252) C Y Ho Approaching the 100 Metres was eased and shifted to the inside of TEAM HAPPY to continue into clear running.
Horse No 8 SOLAR RIVER (J308) M L Yeung Leaving the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly when being steadied to allow DASH to cross.
Approaching the 50 Metres was steadied when crowded between DASH and STORMY KNIGHT which was taken in by ALWAYS FLUKE (C Y Ho) which was directed to the inside of TEAM HAPPY.
C Y Ho was reprimanded.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 DASH (K250) K C Leung K C Leung stated that the intention was to hold a handy position with cover.
He said when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to continue forward to cross runners to his inside which resulted in DASH leading the event.
Horse No 10 TELECOM POWER (J332) H Bentley Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 VON BAER (K198) M F Poon From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 TEAM HAPPY (J218) K Teetan Shortly after the start shifted out and became unbalanced when it made contact with FLASH STAR.
Raced wide and without cover until near the 600 Metres.
Over the concluding stages K Teetan dropped his right rein.

Team Happy pushed four wide from better than midfield to sit second coming to final bend before hitting the front 200m out and just scrambling in for a third win at his 33rd start. It had been 679 days between drinks. Sensationally-backed Von Baer swooped late down the outside after biding his time at the rear from gate 12 to make it close on the wire. He was a well-rated runner on the back of a first up second in Class Four last season. Autumn Vibes stayed on gamely to finish a close third after being posted wide without cover from the 450m travelling better than midfield. He keeps promising without delivering. Whacked to jump favourite, Telcom Power flashed late with one wider out to just miss a placing after making his run second last from gate six. He's as honest as the day is long. Always Fluke just plodded over the last 100m after chasing the speed on the fence from gate four. He had no excuse but did appear to need the run. Marvel And Gold ran on without threatening after a wide trip with cover travelling behind midfield. Dash tamely faded after clearing to lead from gate seven.
