Recap by phillip woo

Old-timer Beauty Joy settled midfield on the rails and quickened nicely to win going away 50m out for a ninth win from 57 starts. He was able to back up a win last start over 1,800m. Max Que found one too smart after briefly leading 100m out following a one-off trip from midfield. He's as honest as the day is long. Silvery Breeze stayed on nicely for third after making his run fifth on the fence. It was a good performance over a trip short of his best. Punted late Soleil Fighter kept battling away for fourth after getting headed for the lead 250m out by Packing Angel. It was another good run up in grade following a win. Well backed Packing Angel succumbed late after leading 250m out following a speed-tracking run. He has found things a bit harder after a Valley 1,650m win in May.
