Race Eleven : (857) - ALL YOU WISH HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 SUPER EXPRESS (K245) H Bowman Approaching the 150 Metres raced tight to the inside of MEANINGFUL DRAGON when improving inside that runner.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 PERFECTDAY (K238) J Orman Shifted out on jumping and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 TITAN PEGASUS (L213) E Brown Jumped only fairly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 5 FORTUNE LINK (L311) H Y Yuen Delayed the start when it proved difficult to load.
Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE LINK will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
Apprentice H Y Yuen confirmed that her instructions were to go forward.
Horse No 6 ALMIGHTY LIGHTNING (L126) A Atzeni For some distance near the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between MEANINGFUL DRAGON and FORTUNE LINK.
Horse No 8 MEANINGFUL DRAGON (H453) C L Chau C L Chau reported that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead by FORTUNE LINK during the early and middle stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 MONARCH COUNTY (J421) J Moreira Shifted in on jumping and was bumped.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 10 VOYAGE HORIZON (L398) M F Poon On jumping was steadied when crowded between MONARCH COUNTY and PERFECTDAY, both of which shifted ground.
M F Poon reported that his mount, which was having its first race start in Hong Kong, raced greenly throughout the event.
Horse No 11 NEW FUTURE FOLKS (J418) M L Yeung Near the 200 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of MAJESTIC VALOUR to continue into clear running.
Horse No 12 COME FAST FAY FAY (K121) K Teetan Near the 1250 Metres jumped a section on the track.
Near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid PERFECTDAY.
K Teetan stated that his instructions were to go forward.
He said despite riding his mount along in the early stages it failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
Trainer K H Ting confirmed the instructions issued.

Horse No 13 KEMPES (J265) A Badel From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 200 Metres was hampered taken when wider by NEW FUTURE FOLKS which shifted out.

8 July 2026 Happy Valley Racemeeting Race 9 (846) KING PROFIT - Approaching the 300 Metres improved into a narrow run between NORTHERN FIRE BALL and HONEST WITNESS.
Near the 250 Metres was then checked when crowded between NORTHERN FIRE BALL and HONEST WITNESS (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted in whilst hanging in.
Whilst the Stewards accepted that Apprentice Wong had made an effort straighten to her mount, she was advised to exercise more care and in similar circumstances she would be expected to make a greater effort to straighten her mounts.

Whip Rule Offences - 8 July 2026 Happy Valley Racemeeting Race 9 (846) Y L Chung (DO YOU JUST) was severely reprimanded in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on four occasions in the Home Straight.

Perfectday had a one-off trip behind midfield and quickened nicely to take control 150m out for a third win from nine starts this term. He has relished a step up to 1,400m. Come Fast Fay Fay was widest out upon straightening but grabbed second from gate 14. He was able to step up off a light weight after back-to-back Class Four wins. Titan Pegasus came from near last for third. He relished the step up to 1,400m after staying on an improved seventh at his second of two 1,200m runs. Monarch County knocked up late after briefly drawing level for the lead 200m out following a wide without cover trip from midfied. He's given a decent sight in two starts since being upgraded. Favourite Super Express took the short route home for fifth after making his run fifth last from gate five.
