Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (845) - HAT TRICK HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 AWESOME FLUKE (J050) P N Wong Apprentice P N Wong stated that her instructions were to go forward and attempt to lead.
She said AWESOME FLUKE raced keenly in the lead and did not settle which resulted in the early and middle stages being run inside of standard time.
Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued.
Horse No 2 BEAUTY ALLIANCE (J260) Z Purton When giving ground near the 200 Metres was crowded by LIVEANDLETLIVE.
Z Purton stated that his instructions were to go forward.
He said with the early and middle stages being run inside of standard time BEAUTY ALLIANCE was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 LIVEANDLETLIVE (K156) H Bowman Near the 200 Metres was hampered when taken in by POPE CODY.
H Bowman stated that the horse was disadvantaged by the early and middle stages being run inside of standard time and, in his opinion, was not comfortable on the surface which, whilst still rated as "Good" had effects of some rain which had fallen during the meeting.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 JOY OF SPRING (H383) J Moreira Jumped only fairly.
J Moreira reported that near the 300 Metres his left foot was dislodged from his stirrup for a number of strides before he was able to reposition it.
Horse No 6 ROMANTIC THOR (K012) C L Chau Near the 200 Metres was crowded to the inside of BEAUTY ALLIANCE.
C L Chau stated that after being crowded near the 200 Metres his mount did not run on thereafter.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 POCKETING (L396) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 8 SWORD POINT (G448) K C Leung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 9 LE ZONDA (L110) C Y Ho From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 500 Metres was steadied to avoid SWORD POINT when it improved behind that runner.

Horse No 11 POPE CODY (K313) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 FORTUNATE SON (J446) K Teetan Making the Home Turn was held up for clear running behind AERODYNAMICS.
Near the 200 Metres POPE CODY (A Badel) shifted in and away from LE ZONDA, resulting in LIVEANDLETLIVE being taken in onto BEAUTY ALLIANCE.
As a consequence BEAUTY ALLIANCE shifted in, crowding ROMANTIC THOR in onto FORTUNATE SON which was steadied when disappointed for clear running between AERODYNAMICS and ROMANTIC THOR.
A Badel was advised to exercise more care.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No WITHOUT COMPARE (L151) C L Chau Withdrawn on 7.7.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter ROMANTIC THOR.
Before being allowed to race again, WITHOUT COMPARE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Well backed Le Zonda made a move from the rear 650m out to take control 100m out with one wider and register a second consecutive win from eight local starts. He's turned the corner for the better now and can head higher. Whacked late in betting, Pope Cody ran on nicely through the centre for second after a wide trip travelling three from the rear. It was a solid effort at his first Valley start. Specked late Glittering Legend ran on nicely for third after making his run towards the rear from gate 11. He lived up to a third two runs ago at his initial Valley 1,800m start. Pocketing ran on nicely near the outside for fourth after travelling third last from gate seven. It was his best effort from five local starts across both tracks. Joy Of Spring stayed on for fifth after a rails run from behind midfield. Aerodynamics just plodded when asked for more after a box-seat run behind the leader Awesome Fluke. He's more effective at Sha Tin. Romantic Thor came up one paced after a one-off trip from midfield. Like the latter, he's a better performer across both surfaces at Sha Tin. Favourite Liveandletlive found nothing after settling third.
