Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (842) - GOAL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 MATZDEN (L133) J Orman Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 2 LOOKING BRIGHT (K315) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 GOOD LUCK HAPPY (K301) Y L Chung Y L Chung stated that his mount travelled only fairly during the race and finished the race off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 E PASSION (K497) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was checked when crowded between QUARTZ LEGEND which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider and ACE POWER which was taken in by KWAI CHUNG TALENTS which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
Over the concluding stages was eased when racing tight to the inside of ACE POWER.
Horse No 6 KING OBERON (H407) Z Purton Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of LOOKING BRIGHT which was taken in by THE PERFECT MATCH.
Horse No 7 WARRIORS DREAM (K255) L Hewitson In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid GOOD LUCK HAPPY.
In the Home Straight lay in.

Horse No 10 ACE POWER (J181) A Atzeni On jumping became badly unbalanced when crowded by KWAI CHUNG TALENTS which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
Over the concluding stages was steadied to avoid SPEEDY POWER (A Badel) which shifted in when not clear.
A Badel was severely reprimanded.
A Atzeni reported that in the Home Straight his mount lay in under pressure.

Horse No 12 KWAI CHUNG TALENTS (L144) M L Yeung Shifted in at the start and made contact with ACE POWER.
M L Yeung confirmed that he was instructed to take up a forward position from a favourable barrier.

Favourite The Perfect Match travelled prominently along the inside from gate one and got the gaps when required to get up 50m. He had run well to earn minor cheques in six of eight other starts this term. Punted late Looking Bright wouldn't go down without a fight after emerging with the lead from gate seven. He was able to build on a speedchasing fifth last start over the Valley 1,000m at his initial run in Class Four. Kwai Chung Talents only just failed to get up for second after a one-out, one-back run. He is trending towards a win. Matzden ran on nicely for fourth after a wide trip without cover from midfield. He has been hovering around the finish in four consecutive runs following a downgrade. King Oberon was on his tippy toes 100m out after settling in the box seat following a quick start from gate six. It was another honest performance over the Valley 1,200m. Superb King gradually faded after rushing forward three wide early on to land a spot one off tracking the leader from gate nine. He's at his best when allowed to bowl along in front. Speedy Power ran on from last without threatening.
