Race Four : (808) - NAM CHUNG RIVER HANDICAP - Class 4 - 2000Meters
Horse No 1 NOISY BOY (J536) H Y Yuen Near the 1400 Metres was steadied to avoid ON THE LASH (L Hewitson) which shifted in when not quite clear.
L Hewitson was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 DOUBLE WIN (H382) C Y Ho A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 CHARITY TOGETHER (K254) E Brown From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
The performance of CHARITY TOGETHER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, CHARITY TOGETHER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 FAST SPEED (K351) H T Mo For some distance near the 1700 Metres raced keenly when being steadied to allow ON THE LASH to cross.
Near the 800 Metres became unbalanced when crowded by SUPER GOLDENDRAGON (K C Leung) which shifted in when being ridden forward.
K C Leung was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 6 VOLCANIC SPARK (H388) M F Poon From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 7 SUPER GOLDENDRAGON (K458) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly.
Raced wide and without cover in the early stages and near the 1100 Metres was ridden forward where it obtained a position outside the lead near the 900 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 MASSIVE GLORY (K205) A Atzeni A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 RELIABLE DAD (L006) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 900 Metres shifted out and away from JOYFUL PROSPERITY and made contact with ROMANTIC FANTASY.
Near the 100 Metres lay in and was eased to avoid ENTHRALLED when ENTHRALLED shifted out slightly.
Noted to have blood at the right nostril after the race.
An endoscopic examination conducted on RELIABLE DAD found that there was no blood in its trachea and therefore the blood in the nostril was determined to be not coming from the lungs and as such the horse was deemed not to have bled.
Horse No 10 OCEAN IMPACT (J502) K Teetan Bumped shortly after the start.
Was left racing wide and without cover from the 900 Metres.
Horse No 11 ROMANTIC FANTASY (H168) A Badel When caught wide in the early stages was steadied and shifted behind runners near the 1900 Metres to obtain cover.
Horse No 12 JOYFUL PROSPERITY (H213) Y L Chung Bumped shortly after the start.
Near the 350 Metres was steadied to avoid FAST SPEED when that runner shifted out under pressure.
Horse No 14 STAR BROSE (J463) M L Yeung Near the 1400 Metres was steadied to avoid NOISY BOY when racing keenly.

Super Goldendragon had a wide trip from behind midfield but made a sustained run from 1,100m out and after finding the lead on the turn, he kept on gamely for a second win from his past four starts. He's in a rich vein of form and there's likely more to come. Punted late Star Brose stayed on nicely near the inside for second after a rails run from midfield. Enthralled had his chance but found a couple too good following a one-off trip from midfield. Reliable Dad was doing his best work after making his run three from the rear. He could bob up at any moment. Specked late Romantic Fantasy made ground late near the inside for fifth. Ocean Impact was next best after getting left without cover.
