Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (799) - MORRISON HILL ROAD HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 EXCEED THE LIMIT (L267) L Hewitson From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After travelling a short distance was steadied to avoid GLORIOUS JOURNEY when being shifted in.
Horse No 2 CALIFORNIA MOXIE (J131) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.
Approaching the 100 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between GLORIOUS JOURNEY and EXCEED THE LIMIT which shifted out and away from COLOURFUL GAN.
Horse No 3 CHARMING LEGEND (K127) J Moreira Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 GLORIOUS JOURNEY (J137) C Y Ho Near the 1400 Metres improved to the inside of STORM RUNNER and was then steadied to avoid STORM RUNNER which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 5 VIVACIOUS WIN (K223) Z Purton Noted to have lost its left hind plate after the race.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 STAR MAC (J053) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
K Teetan reported that his mount failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight but could offer no explanation for its disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 SHOOTING TO TOP (L039) M F Poon Raced wide and without cover until near the 800 Metres.
Horse No 8 BLOSSOMY (L037) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 STORM RUNNER (J452) C L Chau Approaching the 1400 Metres shifted in and was steadied to avoid VIVACIOUS WIN.
Horse No 10 COLOURFUL GAN (L054) B Avdulla Leaving the 1300 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being steadied to avoid BLOSSOMY.
B Avdulla stated that with the early and middle stages being run outside of standard time his mount raced too keenly and as a result was unable to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 GAZELEY (K253) L Ferraris For some distance after the 400 Metres raced tight between SHOOTING TO TOP and WHOWROTETHATSONG.
Near the 350 Metres GAZELEY made contact with WHOWROTETHATSONG which lay in.
Horse No 12 WHOWROTETHATSONG (L048) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres.
Lay in near the 350 Metres and made contact with GAZELEY.

Blossomy travelled in the box seat and reeled in long-time leader Charming Legend 20m out for a second win and first on this surface from his past three starts. He'll remain in the grade and can win another. Well backed Charming Legend found one too good after dictating the pace from gate six. It was clearly his best run from six starts this term following a downgrade. Odds-on favourite Vivacious Win stayed on a non-threatening third with every chance following a one-off trip from midfield. He wasn't good enough carrying 10lb more following a win. Punted late Shooting To Top kept on well for fourth after working like a trojan to track the speed 900m out from gate 11. He's run well in defeat from wide draws in his past two starts after a win. Exceed The Limit ran on late for fifth after making his run three from the rear. He can bob up at any moment after giving a good sight in back-to-back runs following a downgrade. Glorious Journey ran on without threatening through the centre after a patient ride third last from gate eight. California Moxie made some ground late to finish next best.
