Race Nine : (793) - THE PREMIER PLATE (HANDICAP) - Class G3 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 CAP FERRAT (K021) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres.
Horse No 2 SUNLIGHT POWER (H244) H Bowman H Bowman stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 LIGHT YEARS CHARM (K130) C L Chau Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 BEAUTY JOY (E058) J Moreira Approaching the 700 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from CHANCHENG GLORY.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 CALIFORNIATOTALITY (H418) L Hewitson A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 SILVERY BREEZE (K057) A Atzeni From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres.
Over the concluding stages raced tight between BEAUTY JOY and KA YING GENERATION.
Horse No 10 NAUTICAL FORCE (L187) K Teetan K Teetan stated that after settling back in the field his mount found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight due to the early and middle stages being run outside of standard time.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, NAUTICAL FORCE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 12 KA YING GENERATION (J075) M F Poon Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when racing tight to the inside of LIGHT YEARS CHARM which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 9 AWESOME FLUKE (J050) M L Yeung Withdrawn on 18.6.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right hind).
Before being allowed to race again, AWESOME FLUKE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Old-timer Beauty Joy had a midfield trip on the rails and quickened nicely to take control 50m out for an eighth career win from 56 starts and a repeat success in the Premier Plate. He lived up to a near win last start over 1,600m. Light Years Charm ran on nicely through the centre for second after settling one off travelling behind midfield. He proved an upset win last start over 1,600m was not a fluke. Romantic Thor stayed on well for third leading 250m out after rushing forward three wide to track the slow pace of Californiatotality 1,300m out. Well backed Silvery Breeze came from last to nearly place. It was a solid effort despite a rise in class in a paceless race.
