Early favourite Winning Machine tracked the speed outside Colourful Winner before leading near the 400m and just scrambling in for a maiden win at his 16th start. It was an overdue win after placing in four of his past five starts. Post-time favourite Double Bingo came up just short after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He's holding his form well with placings in three consecutive runs. Supreme Winner made it close on the wire after a rails run from just worse than midfield. It was a better effort after failing on a wet track last start. Well-backed Draco rushed home late from second last to just miss a placing after switching off heels for a clear run 150m out.

Horse No 3 YEUX DE LIFELINE (K455) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Between the 200 Metres and the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 COLOURFUL WINNER (J312) M L Yeung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 5 QUICK MONEY (K377) C L Chau Slipped in the saddling stalls and fell over, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

Shifted out on jumping and made contact with DRACO.

Horse No 6 GIDDY UP (J020) B Avdulla Shifted in on jumping and made contact with DRACO.

Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

Horse No 7 YEE CHEONG RAIDER (J176) L Hewitson On jumping made contact with DOUBLE BINGO due to both runners shifting ground.

Held up for clear running for some distance near the 350 Metres.

Between the 250 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

L Hewitson stated that although his mount had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the Home Straight it finished the race off only fairly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 SUPERB GUY (K323) J Orman J Orman stated that the instructions were to hold a more forward position but when his mount jumped only fairly it did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to do so.

Horse No 9 DOUBLE BINGO (J309) Z Purton On jumping made contact with YEE CHEONG RAIDER due to both runners shifting ground.

When the pace steadied approaching the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being steadied away from TEAM HAPPY.

DOUBLE BINGO then continued to race keenly throughout the middle stages and refused to settle.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 11 DRACO (J115) K C Leung On jumping was crowded between QUICK MONEY and GIDDY UP, both of which shifted ground.

Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres.

Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres was shifted to the outside of DOUBLE BINGO to obtain clear running.

Horse No 13 TEAM HAPPY (J218) C Y Ho Blundered shortly after the start.

C Y Ho reported that when the pace steadied approaching the 900 Metres TEAM HAPPY commenced to race keenly and as a result was steadied away from WINNING MACHINE.

He added that as a consequence TEAM HAPPY was obliged to race wide and without cover thereafter.

Horse No 14 WAH MAY WAI WAI (J193) K Teetan Raced wide and without cover in the early stages and after the 900 Metres was taken wider by TEAM HAPPY.

As a consequence WAH MAY WAI WAI then raced very wide and without cover thereafter.
