Racing Incident Report
Race Six : (759) - HKU HERITAGE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1600Meters
Horse No 4 FLYING BOOM (K327) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
Between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 6 BLING BLING GENIUS (J397) L Hewitson Bumped at the start.
Horse No 7 ACE (K307) C L Chau Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 RELIABLE DAD (L006) J Orman Jumped only fairly.
Making the Home Turn was held up for clear running.
Over the final 100 Metres was again held up for clear running when positioned close to BLING BLING GENIUS.
Horse No 10 VICTOR SUPREME (K547) C Y Ho C Y Ho was fined the sum of $2,000 for initially presenting himself to be weighed out with the incorrect saddle cloth number.
Bumped at the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 GRAND TURBO (L138) M F Poon Shifted out on jumping.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 12 AMAZING DUCK (H392) R Kingscote R Kingscote stated that the instructions were to go forward.
He said his mount jumped only fairly and then was crowded between PING HAI COMET and VICTOR SUPREME which shifted out which resulted in AMAZING DUCK settling further back than instructed.
Horse No 13 NINJA DERBY (H339) K Teetan K Teetan stated that his mount raced too keenly when positioned outside the lead and as a result did not run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, NINJA DERBY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 14 PING HAI COMET (H344) M Chadwick Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Favourite Ace was prominent on the fence and after hitting the lead 100m out, he just held on for a second win from his past four starts. He relished a move to blinkers and step up to 1,600m. Victor Supreme surged late down the outside to make it close on the wire after making his run at the rear from gate seven. He's building towards a win. Lucky Year ran on well for third after a wide with cover trip travelling behind midfield from gate 12. He was able to back up a near win last start. Amazing Duck ran on nicely for fourth after making his run third last and three wide. It was a good run despite a change in tactics. Flying Boom made headway late for fifth after a rail run from behind midfield.
