Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (749) - THE CRICKET CLUB VALLEY STAKES (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 FLASHING FIGHTER (L281) H Bowman Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was bumped by FOREVER FANCY which shifted out.
H Bowman stated that he was instructed to ride the horse where comfortable which resulted in his mount settling behind midfield.
Horse No 2 GLORY B (H373) L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that his mount jumped only fairly and as a result he elected to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages and similar to the manner he rode it at its most recent barrier trial on 11 May 2026.
Horse No 3 IRON SECURITY (L174) K C Leung After travelling a short distance was bumped by BROWNNEEDSFURTHER which shifted in and away from GEORGIAN SIGMA.
Horse No 4 DANICA'S CHOICE (L096) P N Wong When pulling her whip through to her right hand near the 200 Metres Apprentice P N Wong dropped her right rein and as a result had difficulty riding her mount out until approaching the 50 Metres when she was able to regather her rein.
For a short distance after the 50 Metres Apprentice Wong had difficulty using her whip when it became entangled in her rein whilst racing tight to the outside of PODIUM.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 7 BROWNNEEDSFURTHER (K325) Z Purton Bumped after travelling a short distance.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 FOREVER FANCY (K354) C Y Ho Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 STAR FIGURE (K215) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
In this incident B Avdulla made contact with the right side barrier partition.
Horse No 11 LOVING VIBES (J359) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 YEE CHEONG SPIRIT (H379) K Teetan The Veterinary Surgeon reported that the horse was lame in its right front leg after the race.
Before being allowed to race again, YEE CHEONG SPIRIT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Favourite Brownneedsfurther jumped nicely to settle one off in third under Zac Purton and just got up down the centre to defeat second favourite Loving Vibes for a maiden win at his 12th start. He's now a winner and four times placed from as many starts over the Valley 1,200m. Loving Vibes did everything right but get the win after moving to the lead 100m out tracking the leader on the fence from gate one. He's a winner waiting to happen with placings in three of his past four starts. Georgian Sigma was a tiring third after clearing to lead 900m out from gate four. He has run well across both tracks without winning from five starts. Podium ran on steadily to just take fourth after a oneoff trip from midfield. It was a good effort up in grade with a step back to 1,200m after back-to-back mile wins. Danica's Choice stayed on well for fifth after a wide trip with cover travelling midfield from gate five. It was an improved effort under a 7lb claimer at his third run down in Class Four and first over the Valley 1,200m for his new trainer. Star Figure was running on late without menacing from second last after a tardy start.
