Recap by phillip woo

Take Action was ridden patiently third last from gate and just outdashed Exceed The Limit down the outside for a third career win over the Valley 1,650m from 27 starts. The win was long overdue after seconds in four of his past six starts. Specked late Exceed The Limit rallied nicely with one wider out to finish a close second after biding his time fourth last. He appreciated the class drop at his first start over the Valley 1,650m. Can't Go Wong ran on nicely to just win a battle for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's always a chance over this course. Flying Fortune lost a placing late after rushing to the lead 300m out following a speed-tracking run from gate 11. He was able to back up an improved third at his first start over the Valley 1,650m. Savvy Warrior stayed on well for fifth after a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was another honest effort over the Valley 1,650m. Dashing Maurison just plodded after a one-out, one-back run. He failed to live up to a solid second last start. Favourite Run Run Timing was gone soon upon straightening after getting pestered for the lead from gate one.
