Race Eight : (712) - VIOLET HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 ALL OUT FOR SIX (L193) E Brown Bumped shortly after the start.
Leaving the 600 Metres raced in restricted room between TELECOM FIGHTERS and GIANT BALLON which shifted to the outside of SKY CAP.
As a result ALL OUT FOR SIX made contact with TELECOM FIGHTERS.
Horse No 2 CHATEAUNEUF (J219) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 GIANT BALLON (K451) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 A AMERIC TE SPECSO (H037) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
Over the concluding stages was steadied to avoid SKY CAP.
B Avdulla reported that near the 550 Metres he dropped his whip.
Horse No 5 KING MILES (J158) P N Wong On jumping blundered badly, resulting in its rider Apprentice P N Wong becoming unbalanced and KING MILES losing ground.
Near the 1000 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from STORMING DRAGON.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 FLYING WROTE (J290) C L Chau Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 TELECOM FIGHTERS (D482) H T Mo Bumped after the 600 Metres.
H T Mo reported that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and with the early and middle stages being run inside of standard time his mount was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Making the turn near the 1000 Metres was taken wider by KING MILES.

Well backed Flying Wrote travelled just worse than midfield one off and reeled in favourite Giant Ballon 60m out for a third Valley 1,200m win this season. He was able to build on a close second last start. Giant Ballon found one too good after moving to the lead 150m out following a rails run behind the leader Sky Cap from gate two. It was another good run carrying 9lb more after three consecutive wins. Punted late Storming Dragon ran on nicely for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's as honest as the day is long. Chateauneuf just lost a placing late after a handy run on the fence from gate one. It was a return to form over his preferred Valley 1,200m. Sky Cap gradually faded after clearing to lead 700m out from gate 10. All Out For Six came up one paced after settling fourth and one off the fence from gate six. It was an OK effort at his first Valley start. A Americ Te Specso ran on without threatening after making his run three from the rear. King Miles was a non-factor travelling third last after badly dipping soon following the start. His rider was lucky to stay on board.
