Recap by phillip woo

The Heir settled one off behind midfield and quickened nicely to easily reel in Superb King 50m out for a second win this season and first over the Valley 1,200m. He appreciated a return to the course and distance of his only win. Superb King found one too good after giving a bold sight in front from gate three. He's a winner waiting to happen with placings in four consecutive runs. Argento Ocean stayed on nicely for third after getting posted wide without cover travelling third the entire trip from gate 12. He's always a chance at this level. Punted late Virtus Glory stuck around for fourth after a speed-tracking run from gate five. It was an improved effort with a switch to the Valley for his second career start. Fatal Blow ran on steadily through the centre for fifth after a one-off trip from midfield. Meowth kept on one paced after finding a one-off spot travelling better than midfield from gate 10. Gor Gor ran on without threatening after making his run at the rear from gate 11. Favourite Thunder Prince gave up the chase after getting badly hampered near the final bend following a prominent run on the fence.
