Recap by phillip woo

Superb Spirit was prominent on the fence and after working into the open 50m out, he reeled in Lucrative Eight 50m out for a maiden win at his second start. He was able to build on a smart fourth on debut last month. Lucrative Eight found one too good after a speed-tracking run from gate six. He's a winner in waiting with placings in all three starts so far. Island Buddy grudgingly gave way after being hustled to lead from the widest draw. He was able to brush off a defeat last start after a tough run. Early favourite Dancing Blaze stayed on for fourth without threatening the placegetters after sitting wide without cover near the front from gate seven. It was an encouraging debut performance. Punted late Incredible Moment came up one paced after a handy run. He's at his best when allowed to bowl along in front.
