Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (696) - EAGLE'S NEST HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 RUBY SAILING (H347) P N Wong Apprentice P N Wong stated that the instructions were to go forward.
She said her mount failed to show sufficient pace to do so and did not travel well throughout the event which she attributed to the "Good to Yielding" track conditions.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 3 ENJOY GOLF (J222) H Bentley Trainer F C Lor stated the instructions were to go forward but not necessarily lead.
He said when ENJOY GOLF jumped well today it was able to lead the event and race in a more forward position than what he had expected.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 MAJESTIC DELIGHT (K189) H Bowman On jumping made contact with the right side of the starting gate and as a result lost ground.
Horse No 6 BLUE BARON (J448) L Hewitson Near the 250 Metres was eased to avoid CALL TO COMMAND which shifted out slightly.
Horse No 8 DASH (K250) E Brown Jumped awkwardly.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when racing tight between TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR and MAJESTIC DELIGHT which shifted out.
Horse No 9 TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR (H430) H Y Yuen Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that she was obliged to make use of the horse in the early stages to cross to race outside the lead.
She said with the early stages of the event being run slightly outside of standard time TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR weakened in the Home Straight.
Trainer J Richards agreed with the views of Apprentice Yuen and also stated that, in his opinion, the horse may be feeling the effects of recent racing.
He added that as a result he would now give the horse a let-up before its next race start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 HAPPY BOYS (J545) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 11 DOUBLE BINGO (J309) A Atzeni Briefly held up for clear running on the Home Turn.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 TURF PHOENIX (J294) M L Yeung Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid BLUE BARON which shifted in and away from TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR despite the efforts of its rider.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
M L Yeung stated that his mount hung out during the race and failed to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Enjoy Golf was much too smart after easily finding the lead from gate 11 for a second win from 25 starts. He appreciated the downgrade after filling the frame in three of four prior starts. Double Bingo surged late near the inside to grab second 50m out after making his run third last from gate five. It was a good performance after misfiring midweek at the Valley. No Other Choice kept on for third after getting all favours in the box seat. It was an improved effort on his return to turf at his second straight run down in Class Five. Call To Command ran on steadily for fourth after a rails run from midfield. It was another positive performance after a career-best second last start. Majestic Delight was making good ground late for fifth after making his run second last following a tardy start. It was another honest run over the Sha Tin 1,200m.
