Race Six : (679) - CASTLE PEAK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 FLYING FORTUNE (L057) K C Leung Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 2 BEST WORLD (L329) C L Chau Between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres was shifted to the outside of LUCKY MAN and STAR SATYR to continue into clear running.
Horse No 4 LUCKY BID (L274) B Avdulla Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 5 STAR SATYR (K231) Y L Chung Near the 100 Metres was eased to avoid INVICTUS DRAGON when racing in restricted room between LUCKY MAN which shifted out slightly and INVICTUS DRAGON which shifted in.
Horse No 6 INVICTUS DRAGON (K318) Z Purton Was leaning on the right side of the starting gate as the start was effected and as a result jumped only fairly.
Near the 350 Metres was bumped by CHEERFUL WONGCHOY which shifted in slightly.

Horse No 7 LUCKY MAN (J315) H Bentley Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was badly held up for clear running.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 SUPER DRAGON (K389) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
Approaching the 400 Metres was eased to avoid LUCKY BID which shifted out and away from STAR SATYR.
A Atzeni stated that the only explanation he could offer for the disappointing performance was that it did not appreciate the "Good to Yielding" track conditions.
Trainer M Newnham concurred with the views offered by Jockey Atzeni.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 CHEERFUL WONGCHOY (L045) E Brown Near the 350 Metres shifted in and made contact with INVICTUS DRAGON.
Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running when awkwardly placed close to LUCKY BID.
Horse No 10 CELESTIAL STRIDER (L009) H T Mo Slow to begin.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 LEATHER GOODS (K401) K Teetan The performance of LEATHER GOODS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, LEATHER GOODS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Invictus Dragon was second last at the 800m and three off the fence but took control 100m out for a maiden win at his 11th start. Lucky Man ran on nicely for second after getting badly held up for a run until switching into the clear 150m out following a box-seat trip. He was able to back up a win last start for his new trainer. Invictus stayed on for third after briefly leading 150m out following a speed-tracking run outside The Concentration. It was a better effort with a step up in distance. Star Satyr just got the nose down for fourth after a one-out, one-back run. It was an improved effort on recent starts. Best World ran on nicely through the middle to just miss fourth prize money after making his run five back on the fence. It was encouraging debut effort. Decision Link ran on late near the outside for sixth after making his run five back and one off the fence.
