Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (677) - LEI YUE MUN PUBLIC RIDING SCHOOL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 ALSONSO (J405) H Bowman Bumped on jumping.
Shortly after the start was then eased when crowded between ONESHOT and BEAUTY THUNDER which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.
Horse No 2 E HO HO (L119) C Y Ho Over the concluding stages was steadied when crowded by STORM MIRROR which shifted out when being steadied to avoid CAP LINER.
Horse No 3 BEAUTY THUNDER (J299) P N Wong Apprentice P N Wong stated that after shifting out shortly after the start and making contact with ALSONSO it then took some time for the horse to obtain an on-pace position.
She said in the Home Straight BEAUTY THUNDER did not respond to her riding and gave ground.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 MASTER PAYMENT (L159) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 TACTICAL VICTORY (K521) H T Mo Jumped only fairly.
H T Mo reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of TACTICAL VICTORY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, TACTICAL VICTORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 GRAND NOVA (J323) A Atzeni A Atzeni stated that his mount travelled well during the early stages but when placed under pressure in the Home Straight did not appreciate the "Good to Yielding" track conditions.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 RAPID PHANTOM (L204) H Y Yuen Shifted out on jumping and made contact with WINALOT.
Over the final 200 Metres lay out.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when positioned close to MASTER PAYMENT which was shifting out.
Horse No 8 STORM MIRROR (L179) J Orman Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Near the 850 Metres was steadied when crowded between CAP LINER and ALSONSO which shifted in when positioned close to ONESHOT.
Near the 800 Metres STORM MIRROR was then crowded between CAP LINER and ALSONSO which was racing tight to the outside of BEAUTY THUNDER (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted out.
Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care.
STORM MIRROR then raced in restricted room between the 800 Metres and the 600 Metres between ALSONSO and CAP LINER and did not obtain clear running for the remainder of the event.
Horse No 9 WINALOT (L197) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly and then shortly after became unbalanced when crowded by RAPID PHANTOM which shifted out.
Horse No 10 ONESHOT (L105) K Teetan Bumped on jumping.
When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer W K Mo stated that the horse had performed satisfactorily at its first race start over the same course and distance.
He said at its last start on 3 May 2026 the horse was disadvantaged by being interfered with at the 800 Metres and again near the 300 Metres and was also assisted today by the addition of sheepskin cheek pieces for the first time.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 CASA PRIMO (L201) R Kingscote Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
When placed under pressure in the Home Straight lay out and proved difficult to ride.
Horse No 14 CAP LINER (L012) J Moreira Sent for sampling post-race.

Outsider Oneshot chased the speed and took control 60m out for a maiden win at his third start. He appreciated the step back to the straight 1,000m of a debut fifth last month. Early favourite Master Payment found one too good after briefly leading 100m out following a midfield run on the far side from gate one. He's a winner in waiting with seconds in both career starts. Punted late Bustling City begrudgingly gave way after dictating the pace from gate 10 on the stands side. It was an improved effort. Rapid Phantom kept on well for fourth after a handy run from a low draw. He was able to back up a debut third last month. Casa Primo stayed on well for fifth after getting held up between the 400m and 100m travelling just worse than midfield in the centre of the track after a slow start. Cap Liner kept on okay after travelling midfield on the grandstand side.
