Fancied to jump favourite Blazing Wind jumped from gate two and tracked the speed outside Giant Spirit before shooting to the lead 250m out and drawing clear for a fourth success from 25 starts. He's now won three times from three rides under Zac Purton. Early favourite Victory Sky ran on nicely to overhaul Aurora Patch for second after making his run two from the rear under a 10lb claimer. It was another solid run following a win. Aurora Patch kept on gamely for third after briefly moving to second 150m out following a prominent run slotting in with cover 800m out from gate 10. He's an ultra-consistent performer. Punted late Super Joy N Fun ran on well for fourth after a wide trip travelling behind midfield from gate eight. It was another positive effort on his return to the track and trip of a win in October after a fourth last start at the Valley. Target Audience just held his ground when asked for more following a box seat run. It was an okay effort up in grade following a win. Must Go ran on without threatening after making his run five back on the fence. He couldn't cope carrying a 5lb penalty after a win.

Horse No 3 GALACTIC VOYAGE (K514) C L Chau Jumped only fairly.

C L Chau attributed his mount's disappointing performance to not handling the All Weather surface.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
