Horse No 4 DIAMOND SPARKLE (L182) L Ferraris Shortly after the start was bumped by FLYING SNIPER.
Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight.
Horse No 6 WORD OF KINDNESS (K569) Y L Chung Shortly after the start ran out and away from ONE MAN SHOW.
Raced keenly in the early stages and making the turn near the 700 Metres hung out and ran very wide on the track.
The racing manners and performance of WORD OF KINDNESS, which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, WORD OF KINDNESS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in consecutive barrier trials around a bend and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Well-backed California Bay settled prominently on the inside and responded nicely to get up in the late stages for a first win at his 17th local start. The switch in surfaces worked the oracle. Punted late One Man Show found one just too good after going for home on top 250m out following a speed-tracking run from gate 11. It was a better effort on recent starts under a 7lb claimer. Light Years Glory stayed on for third after getting posted three wide early on sitting near the speed from gate five. It was another honest performance. Favourite Tourbillon Golfer weakened to finish a distant fourth after dictating the pace under a 10lb claimer from gate one. He had his chance. Diamond Sparkle ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from midfield. It was a better effort at his second career start and first on the surface. Flying Sniper made some ground for sixth after making his run three from the rear. He hasn't disgraced on either surface from four starts but is still a work in progress. Mega Awesome ran on without threatening after making his run third last. It was an OK effort on debut.
