Recap by phillip woo

Early favourite Meepmeep settled midfield on the rails and took control near the 100m for a second win at start 32. He relished a return to his favourite dirt 1,650m after a closing fifth last start over the dirt 1,800m. Oriental Surprise kept on gamely to just hold second after assuming the lead 400m out following a speed-chasing run from gate 13 under a 7lb claimer. The step up to 1,650m on dirt nearly worked the oracle. Whacked to jump favourite, Go Go Go just failed to get up for second after a one-out, one-back run. He continues his good form of late over the dirt 1,650m. Hailtothevictors worked home nicely near the inside for fourth after making his run five back on the fence. He's racing well on this surface but seems to be crying out for the 1,800m trip. Punted late Happydearhappydeer just held his ground after a box-seat run. It was a better effort of the campaign. Mega Force made some ground for sixth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's gone OK in back-to-back all-weather runs following a downgrade. Lucky Generations ran on without threatening after making his run three from the rear.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of SMART CITY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, SMART CITY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.

Horse No 3 FLOOF (H432) A Atzeni Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
