The progressive Turquoise Velocity was perfectly rated in front from gate three to just hold off both My Mars and Crossborderpegasus for a fourth win and first in the grade plus a second from six starts. He should remain in the grade and can win another. Punted late My Mars ran on nicely to make it a neck on the wire after a rails run from midfield. It was another solid run carrying 6lb more following a winning local debut last month. Crossborderpegasus made up heaps of ground late to finish a very close third after making his run at the rear following a slow start. He's loaded with talent but isn't straightforward. Smart Golf grudgingly gave way after a speed tracking run from gate 14. It was a run with merit carrying 8lb more following back-to-back wins. Young Emperor ran on late for fifth without threatening the first four runners after making his run fourth last from gate seven. It was another honest effort.

Horse No 7 MAJESTIC VALOUR (L016) M F Poon Shifted in on jumping and made contact with TACTICAL HORIZONS.

Near the 200 Metres M F Poon dropped his whip.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Noted to have lost its right front plate and to have sustained a minor abrasion to the left front leg after the race.

Horse No 8 THOUSAND SPIRIT (K365) L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that his mount did not appreciate the "Soft" track conditions.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 TACTICAL HORIZONS (L173) K Teetan On jumping was bumped by MAJESTIC VALOUR which shifted in.

Horse No 12 WINNING BUDDIES (L092) K C Leung Near the 500 Metres was bumped by LADY'S LOVE which was taken out.

The explanation offered by K C Leung for returning to scale 2 lbs over the weight at which he weighed out at was accepted.

Horse No 13 LADY'S LOVE (L220) R Kingscote Near the 500 Metres shifted out and made contact with WINNING BUDDIES.

Near the 300 Metres made contact with ALMIGHTY LIGHTNING due to both runners shifting ground.

Horse No 14 ALMIGHTY LIGHTNING (L126) A Atzeni Shifted in on jumping and made contact with MY MARS.

Near the 300 Metres made contact with LADY'S LOVE due to both runners shifting ground.

A Atzeni stated that his mount failed to handle the "Soft" track conditions.

Trainer K L Man advised the horse had pleased him leading into the race and agreed with the assessment of Jockey Atzeni.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 DO YOU JUST (L094) Y L Chung Withdrawn by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice after it was found to be lame in the left hind leg prior to the race.

Before being allowed to race again, DO YOU JUST will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Due to lightning activity which occurred whilst the horses were parading before the running of Race 5, all horses were returned to the saddling stalls and the running of this race was delayed on safety grounds.

When conditions became more suitable for racing, starting times were amended.

After the running of Race 4, the track classification was officially changed from "Good" to "Yielding" After the running of Race 7, the track classification was officially changed from "Yielding" to "Soft" This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.

As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 7 being run on a track rated "Soft"
