Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Honest Witness dictated the pace, straightrned nearly three lengths on top and extended that margin for a second straight win. He won again but it was a depthless Class Four race. Golden Friendship stayed on well for second after a prominent run along the inside from gate two. It was a career-best performance from 15 starts in Class Four. The Perfect Match ran on nicely for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's always a chance over the Valley 1,200m. Cheaha came from well back after switching to the inside 150m out to just fill a spot in the top four. It was his best local performance from nine starts following a downgrade. Very Grateful just lost fourth after straightening near the inside following a patient ride fourth last. He's run with merit in two of three starts following a downgrade. Whacked late in betting, Lean Master gradually faded after working forward three wide to track the speed from gate 10. He's destined for a downgrade. Everstar was doing his best work late to finish next best after biding his time third last from gate nine. He's better on a faster track.
