Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (613) - GOLDEN POINT 1200M HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 4 AMAZING KID (K434) A Atzeni Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 5 BIENVENUE (J490) Z Purton Z Purton stated that after holding a forward position his mount weakened noticeably over the concluding stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, BIENVENUE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 MATTERS MOST (K154) E C W Wong Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 DO YOU JUST (L094) Y L Chung Bumped shortly after the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 FIERY STEED (K575) R Kingscote Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
Near the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid STRAIGHT TO GLORY.
Horse No 9 STRAIGHT TO GLORY (K340) H Bentley Bumped on jumping.
Near the 100 Metres was steadied to avoid SYMBOL OF STRENGTH which shifted out slightly.
H Bentley could offer no excuse for the horse's disappointing performance.
Trainer C W Chang stated that the horse had pleased him prior to the race and said as the horse is one-paced it was disadvantaged tonight by having to be ridden slightly further back in the field than intended.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 PRESTIGE WIN (L248) L Hewitson On jumping made contact with STRAIGHT TO GLORY due to both runners shifting ground.
As a result PRESTIGE WIN became unbalanced.
L Hewitson stated that he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.
Trainer B Crawford confirmed the instructions issued.
Horse No 11 LUCKY DOCTOR (L225) C Y Ho Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 12 SOMELOVEFROMABOVE (J503) J Moreira Bumped shortly after the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Whip Rule Offences - 12 April 2026 Sha Tin Racemeeting Race 8 (601) M L Yeung (WITHALLMYFAITH) was fined the sum of $5,000 in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on four occasions over the final the 150 Metres.
Race 10 (603) J Orman (CROSSBORDERPEGASUS) was reprimanded for using his whip forward of the saddle in a forehand manner on one occasion near the 100 Metres.
Race 11 (604) A Atzeni (CRIMSON FLASH) was fined the sum of $5,000 in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion prior to the 300 Metres.

Do You Just tracked the speed outside Matters Most from gate five before taking control 50m out for a first win at his fifth local start. The switch to the Valley 1,200m worked the oracle after two improved runs over 1,400m. Matters Most kept on gamely for second after pinging straight to the front from gate one. It was a much-improved performance after a handful off dull performances. Favourite Somelovefromabove ran on steadily for third after a one-off trip from midfield. He was able to hold his own up in grade off a light weight after back-to-back wins. Punted late Symbol Of Strength was a close fourth after a rails run from better than midfield. It was another honest effort carrying top weight. Sports Legend made good ground late down the outside for fifth after biding his time two from the rear. He's mixing his form. Amazing Kid ran on without threatening after a wide trip without cover travelling behind midfield from the widest draw. He's one to keep safe from a better draw. Bienvenue only plodded over the last 100m after finding a nice spot in the one-one from gate 10.
