Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (606) - CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF THE HKFC10s 1650M HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 FLOOF (H432) K Teetan Near the 300 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between ZETTA FORCE and EXCEED THE WISH which shifted out.
After being shifted to the inside of EXCEED THE WISH near the 250 Metres FLOOF had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 200 Metres and the 150 Metres when improving between EXCEED THE WISH and POWER SUMMIT which was giving ground.
Horse No 2 POWER SUMMIT (K044) J Orman Bumped near the 600 Metres.
Over the concluding stages was eased when racing tight to the inside of FLOOF which was taken in by WAH MAY WAI WAI.
J Orman stated that with the horse stepping up in distance he was asked to take up a forward position.
Trainer D Eustace confirmed the instructions issued.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 ZETTA FORCE (J546) C L Chau Shorty after the start was bumped by SMART TRIO which shifted out.
For a short distance near the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Bumped near the 150 Metres and then raced tight between FAMILY FORTUNE and DOUBLE BINGO for a short distance thereafter.
Horse No 5 INNO CENTURY (K113) M Chadwick Bumped near the 900 Metres.
Approaching the 800 Metres was steadied when crowded between ZETTA FORCE (C L Chau) which shifted to the outside of FLOOF and SMART TRIO which gave ground at that point when being steadied.
C L Chau was reprimanded.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 FAMILY FORTUNE (H447) J Moreira After the 1400 Metres was steadied to avoid DRAGON SUNRISE when being shifted in behind that runner.
Near the 900 Metres improved to the inside of INNO CENTURY and as a result made contact with that runner.
Near the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid INNO CENTURY.
Approaching the 150 Metres was shifted to the outside of WAH MAY WAI WAI to continue into clear running and as a result made contact with ZETTA FORCE.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 DOUBLE BINGO (J309) M F Poon Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 COURIER MAGIC (H290) H Bowman From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
When the pace steadied near the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid ZETTA FORCE which shifted out.
Near the 250 Metres was steadied to avoid FLOOF when FLOOF shifted to the inside of EXCEED THE WISH.
After the 150 Metres raced tight to the inside of POWER SUMMIT which was giving ground.
Horse No 9 DRAGON SUNRISE (J269) Z Purton Approaching the 1400 Metres was steadied to avoid INNO CENTURY.
Near the 800 Metres shifted out when being steadied to avoid SMART TRIO when that runner gave ground.
Z Purton stated that after being steadied near the 800 Metres his mount was obliged to race wide throughout the event and as a result finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 WAH MAY WAI WAI (J193) A Atzeni Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Raced wide and without cover throughout the early stages and from the 900 Metres was ridden forward to obtain a position outside the lead near the 700 Metres.
Near the 600 Metres shifted in and made contact with POWER SUMMIT.
Horse No 11 PERFECTO MOMENTS (J003) M L Yeung Was left racing wide and without cover from the 700 Metres.
Horse No 12 SMART TRIO (J538) P N Wong Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped.
Horse No MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) C Y Ho Withdrawn on 14.4.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter COURIER MAGIC.
Before being allowed to race again, MY FLYING ANGEL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Family Fortune was patiently ridden third last and zipped home late to just beat Double Bingo to remain perfect in two rides under Joao Moreira after a win in December. The riding change worked the oracle after fifths in two of four prior starts across both surfaces. Double Bingo found one just too good leading 150m out after rushing forward to chase the speed near the 1,100m. He has been racing well and the step up to 1,650m was not a problem. Zetta Force ran on well through the centre for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a much better effort with a return to the Valley 1,650m at his third start following a downgrade. Perfecto Moments stuck on well for fourth after getting posted three wide early on in a prominent spot from gate 11. It was another honest effort. Wah May Wai Wai gradually faded in the run to the wire after improving to find a spot one off outside the leader 500m out following a slow start. Favourite Dragon Sunrise ran on without threatening down the outside after travelling fourth last and four wide from gate seven. He had an excuse.
