Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (600) - THE KOWLOON CRICKET CLUB CENTENARY CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 FLYING FORTUNE (L057) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 3 FORZA TORO (K355) J Moreira Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and was very slow to begin.
Before being allowed to race again, FORZA TORO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 STAR SATYR (K231) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly.
Near the 450 Metres was steadied when racing in restricted room between PRESIDENT PEGASUS and FLYING FORTUNE which shifted out slightly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 FUN TOGETHER (H041) C L Chau Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 7 PRESIDENT PEGASUS (L241) L Hewitson Bumped shortly after the start.
Near the 250 Metres was steadied when crowded between FUN TOGETHER which lay in and away from ALABAMA SONG and STAR SATYR (Y L Chung) which shifted out when improving to the outside of FLYING FORTUNE.
Y L Chung was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
L Hewitson stated that his mount raced greenly when placed under pressure in the early stages of the Home Straight.
Horse No 9 SHOTGUN (K111) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 SUPER DRAGON (K389) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 11 JUST FOLLOW ME (K332) K Teetan Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 12 LUCKY SECRET (L073) E C W Wong E C W Wong stated that his mount hung out throughout the event and weakened in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of LUCKY SECRET, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY SECRET will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 13 ALABAMA SONG (K480) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.

Alabama Song settled five back and one off the fence before making his run through the centre to get up in the final few metres for a second win and first this term from 14 starts. Forza Toro finished well with two wider out to finish a close second after missing the start by about seven lengths. It was a huge run in defeat. Run Run Smart wouldn't go down without a fight after dictating the pace from gate one under a 10lb claimer. He appreciated the weight off his back after failing carrying 135lb last start. Favourite Shogun gradually faded after a speed-tracking run from gate five. The rise in weight took its toll following a win. Super Dragon ran on nicely for fifth after making his run second last from gate 14. It was another encouraging effort at his first start. Flying Fortune stayed on better for sixth after a rails run from midfield. It was an improved effort.
