Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Perfect General easily led from gate four and kept up a strong gallop for a fourth career win over this course and distance and third from six outings this term. Well- backed Thriving Brothers stayed on nicely for second after sitting third in the run from gate seven. He's as honest as the day is long. Brown-lamped Gummy Gummy just failed to get up for second after a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was an improved effort on his return to the Valley 1,200m of seconds in two of six past starts. Spirit Of Peace ran on late for fourth after straightening four deep travelling five back on the rails. He has been a good money spinner without winning from 12 starts this term. Exceed The Limit stayed on well for fifth after a rails run from midfield. It was another encouraging effort after a debut fifth last month at Sha Tin. Power Koepp ran on without threatening after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's at his best on a wet track. Celestial Hero only passed struggling runners after making his run at the rear from gate 11. A switch to the Valley failed to produce a desirable result.
