Race Six : (590) - WYNDHAM HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 CROSSBORDERDUDE (L022) Z Purton Shifted in at the start and made contact with HAPPY BRETHREN.
Z Purton stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position.
He said after making contact with HAPPY BRETHREN on jumping and then racing tight between FLASH STAR and HAPPY BRETHREN shortly after the start he was obliged to settle further back in the field than what had been intended.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 SKY CAP (K125) J Moreira Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 TACTICAL COMMAND (H197) A Badel Jumped only fairly and then raced tight between CROSSBORDERDUDE and FLASH STAR.
Horse No 5 HAPPY BRETHREN (L049) C Y Ho Bumped on jumping and became unbalanced.
Horse No 6 LUCKY MCQUEEN (K064) M F Poon After being crossed by BIGTIME GENERATION near the 600 Metres was then steadied to avoid BIGTIME GENERATION when that runner was unable to continue forward.
Horse No 7 AWESOME TREASURE (E435) P N Wong Raced wide and without cover from the 700 Metres.
Bumped near the 550 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 GRAND MASTERMIND (L084) L Hewitson Near the 550 Metres was steadied to avoid LUCKY MCQUEEN, shifted out and made contact with AWESOME TREASURE.

Horse No 11 GAMEPLAYER ELITE (H356) H Bentley When placed under pressure in the Home Straight lay in, resulting in its rider H Bentley changing his whip through to his right hand near the 200 Metres.

Horse No 12 FALCON HUNTER (K503) C L Chau Lay out under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No SO MY FOLKS (K456) C L Chau SO MY FOLKS, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 5.4.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (bled after finishing track work).
Before being allowed to race again, SO MY FOLKS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Sky Cap was hustled from gate seven to lead and just had enough left in the tank to fend off Gameplayer Elite for back-to-back wins and a third from his past three starts. Gameplayer Elite was eating up the ground late to finish a close second after a rails run from just worse than midfield. It was another fine performance following a win. Favourite Crossborderdude made good ground late near the inside to just miss second after a patient ride fourth last. It was a good run carrying top weight at his first start over the Valley track. Punted late Lucky McQueen stayed on nicely for fourth after straightening off travelling better than midfield. It was another honest performance carrying 5lb more following a win. Happy Brethren kept on all right after a prominent run along the inside. He's still a work in progress but has flashed ability in each of his three runs across both tracks. Tactical Command ran on without threatening after making his run one from the rear. Glaciated was another hitting his best stride late near the outside after making his run third last from gate 12.
