Race Three : (587) - GRAHAM HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 3 BEAUTY SHOW (L260) Z Purton Jumped awkwardly.
Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of TYCOON RESOURCES which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 TYCOON RESOURCES (L234) Y L Chung Over the concluding stages shifted in, resulting in its rider Y L Chung having to stop riding and straighten his mount as it approached the winning post.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ZETA HEDGE (K295) P N Wong Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Apprentice P N Wong stated that the intention was to go forward and attempt to lead.
She said despite riding her mount along in the early stages it did not show sufficient pace to do so.
Horse No 7 JOY STAR (L235) H T Mo After travelling a short distance made contact with GET FRIENDLY when racing tight to the inside of HAPPY UNITED.
Approaching the 800 Metres, when racing ungenerously, got its head up and became unbalanced when racing in restricted room between GOLDEN FRIENDSHIP which shifted in slightly and GET FRIENDLY which shifted out and made contact with JOY STAR when being corrected by its rider.
Horse No 8 ELEGANT LIFE (J366) J Moreira Approaching the 500 Metres lay out and was steadied to avoid JOY STAR.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when held up behind BEAUTY THUNDER which shifted in.
J Moreira stated that his mount, which was fractious in the starting gates, jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
He added that ELEGANT LIFE travelled only fairly during the event and finished the race off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 VIVA BOSS (L139) C Y Ho From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 GET FRIENDLY (L069) L Hewitson Shortly after the start was bumped by FORZA LEADER which shifted out.
A short distance later GET FRIENDLY became unbalanced when crowded between FORZA LEADER and JOY STAR which was racing tight to the inside of HAPPY UNITED.
Shifted out approaching the 800 Metres and made contact with JOY STAR.

Debutant Tycoon Resources had a speed-tracking run from gate seven and despite tending to lay in, he just wore down long-time leader Beauty Show 20m out for the win. There's more to come from the three-year-old son of Written Tycoon. Another first-time starter Beauty Show wouldn't go down without a fight after pinging straight to the front from gate eight. He should be winning in no time. Money came late for Superb King who kept on well for third without threatening the top two after a box-seat run. He was able to back up a front-running second last start. Firming late in betting Beauty Thunder stayed on a distant fourth after a one-out, one-back run from gate 11. It was another honest performance. Punted late Happy United just plodded on for fifth after a rails run from midfield. He will be a force to reckon if he finds his way into Class Five. Golden Friendship made only a mild bid after a one-off trip from midfield. Favourite Elegant Life ran on without threatening through the centre after making his run second last following a slow start. He had an excuse.
