Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (586) - D'AGUILAR HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 BEAUTY VIVA (K155) H Bowman Shifted in shortly after the start and made contact with GOLDEN DARCI.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 OSI HONOUR (K232) M L Yeung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 3 VERMILION TEMPEST (L093) J Moreira After the 500 Metres improved to the inside of OSI HONOUR when that runner came under pressure.
When OSI HONOUR maintained its position making the Home Turn VERMILION TEMPEST was then held up when positioned behind SUPER GOLDENDRAGON.
Near the 150 Metres VERMILION TEMPEST, which was laying out, shifted out and was eased when positioned close to GOLDEN DARCI when that runner was giving ground.
Horse No 4 AESTHETICISM (H289) L Hewitson From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 5 FORTUNE STAR (K003) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly, shifted out and made contact with PRECISION HOPE.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Leaving the 900 Metres raced keenly and was steadied to avoid CELTIC TIMES.
Horse No 7 GENERAL REDWOOD (L102) Y L Chung Shifted out slightly leaving the 50 Metres and brushed VIVACIOUS WIN.

Horse No 8 GOLDEN DARCI (H470) J Orman Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 9 PRECISION HOPE (L047) H Bentley Bumped shortly after the start.

In the early stages of the Home Straight lay in and as a result was positioned close to GOLDEN DARCI near the 200 Metres when that runner commenced to give ground.
Horse No 12 VIVACIOUS WIN (K223) K Teetan K Teetan stated that with an expected lack of speed engaged in the race he was instructed to hold a more forward position than it did at its most recent race starts.
Leaving the 50 Metres was brushed by GENERAL REDWOOD which shifted out slightly.

Heavily punted General Redwood led and after being briefly headed by favourite Vivacious Win 180m out, he fought back to get the bob in late for a maiden win at his fourth start. He was returning off a break after giving a better sight in two prior starts over this course and distance. Vivacious Win found one just too good on the day after briefly getting his nose in front just under the 200m following a speed-tracking run from gate eight. He's a winner in waiting. Whacked late in betting Yiu Cheung Victory stayed on well to finish a distant third after a box-seat run from gate two. He was able to build on a one-paced fifth last start. Fortune Star made good ground late for fourth after making his run five back on the fence. It was a good run in a race run to suit those up front. Celtic Times stayed on okay for fifth after a rails run from midfield. Super Goldendragon ran on without threatening with two wider out after a one-off trip from behind midfield. Second favourite Beauty Viva wove a run late through the centre to finish next best after making his run third last. The pace and big weight worked against him.
