Recap by phillip woo

Mighty Masts broke from gate 10 and had a patient ride from third last, assuming the lead 180m out from Fit For Beauty before going away for a first win at his fifth local run. Fit For Beauty found one too smart after briefly poking his head in front 200m out following a wide without cover trip from midfield. It was another good run carrying 5lb more. Favourite The Red Hare ran on steadily for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was another honest performance. Harold Win succumbed late for fourth after dictating the pace as expected from gate one under a 10lb claimer. He was given every chance but does remain a very good money spinner for connections. Packing Glory just plodded for fifth after a box-seat run. Golden Champ made a mild bid for sixth after a rails run from midfield. Dreaming Together picked off a few after making his run second last from gate eight. Ka Ying Superb didn't find much after a speed-tracking run.
