Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (578) - PEEL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 MR INCREDIBLE (L232) K Teetan Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped.
Near the 350 Metres endeavoured to improve to the outside of LITTLE MONSTER and as a result made contact with LUCRATIVE EIGHT.
Between the 300 Metres and the 150 Metres was then unable to obtain clear running and passing the 150 Metres was steadied when disappointed between LUCRATIVE EIGHT and LITTLE MONSTER.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 THOUSAND SPIRIT (K365) L Hewitson Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 HEALTHY PONY (L046) M Chadwick Shortly after the start became unbalanced when it made contact with COME FAST FAY FAY.
Horse No 6 LUCRATIVE EIGHT (K542) H Y Yuen Near the 850 Metres blundered after being crossed by THOUSAND SPIRIT.
Near the 350 Metres was bumped by MR INCREDIBLE.
Apprentice H Y Yuen reported that her mount hung in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight and proved difficult to ride out.
Horse No 7 SUPERB SPIRIT (L040) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 CALL ME SUCCESS (K462) A Atzeni A Atzeni stated that his mount was stirred up prior to the event and raced keenly in the early and middle stages before giving ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 DRAGON HALL (K345) J Orman J Orman stated that the instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.
He said with the blinkers being applied for the first time DRAGON HALL raced too keenly and settled in a more forward position than intended and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 LITTLE MONSTER (K391) K C Leung Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Near the 800 Metres shifted in and was steadied to avoid DRAGON HALL.
In the early stages of the Home Straight hung in, resulting in its rider K C Leung changing his whip through to his right hand near the 300 Metres.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 11 SUNNY Q (J223) H Bentley From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 12 COME FAST FAY FAY (K121) R Kingscote Jumped only fairly.
Shortly after the start was bumped by MR INCREDIBLE which shifted out.
After being crossed by EVERSTAR then raced keenly in the early stages and was steadied to avoid that runner for some distance near the 800 Metres.
Horse No 13 MONEY TYCOON (K423) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly.
Between the 350 Metres and the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Horse No 14 RIDING HIGH (J403) A Badel Between the 400 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.

Thousand Spirit led and after straightening one length on top, he kept finding for a first win at his 11th local start. He had been knocking on the door. Riding High just held on for second after a handy run on the fence. It was another honest performance. Lucrative Eight showed his inexperience when tending to lug in under pressure but did stay on nicely for third after a one-out, one-back run. It was an encouraging debut. Post-time favourite Superb Spirit stayed on well for fourth after a wide trip from midfield. It was a good run on debut. Little Monster kept on gamely for fifth after doing it tough sitting wide without cover near the front from gate 14. He keeps racing well without winning from bad draws. Early favourite Mr Incredible was held up for most the straight after a rails run from midfield. Come Fast Fay Fay ran on without threatening after making his run three from the rear. He didn't get a race run to suit.
