Recap by phillip woo

Supreme Winner made his run from four back on the fence, weaving a run near the inside to take control 60m out for a maiden win at his 19th start. Always Fluke ran on nicely for second after getting held up between the 350m and 200m following a one-off trip outside the eventual winner. Robot Knight kept on well for third after leading 300m out following a speed-tracking run outside King Alloy from gate 11. King Alloy gradually faded for fourth after dictating the pace from gate seven. He's racing well across both tracks without winning. View All Things made good ground late for fifth after making his run fourth last from gate six. He might appreciate a 1,400m trip after finding the line well in both 1,200m runs across both surfaces from four starts this term.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two : (575) - SEVERN HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 ALWAYS FLUKE (H252) H Bentley Near the 650 Metres shifted in and away from ORIENTAL SURPRISE and was bumped.

Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of MAJESTIC DELIGHT.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 ICONICAL (J504) L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that his mount enjoyed a good run behind the lead during the event and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.

He added the only explanation he could offer was that the horse might be better suited racing at Happy Valley.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 3 CIRRUS SPEED (K279) J Orman J Orman advised that he had been instructed to take up a forward position.

He said after obtaining cover near the 800 Metres his mount was then taken wider making the Home Turn when MAJESTIC DELIGHT shifted out.

He added that after being eased to avoid MAJESTIC DELIGHT near the 400 Metres when that runner shifted out his mount then failed to finish the race off in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 CIRCUIT DUFFY (J501) M F Poon In the early stages despite being ridden along did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
