Loch Tay tracked the speed before assuming the lead from Voyage Samurai on straightening and just scrambling in for a second win over this surface and trip from six starts. Favourite Talents Ambition came with a barnstorming run near the outside to just miss after a patient ride fourth last carrying a big weight. He loves this surface. Well-backed late Endeared made good ground along the inside to finish a very close third after a rails run from midfield. It was another solid effort following a win last start on turf in Class Four. Romantic Thor just finished out of the placings after sitting three wide without cover in third from gate 13. He's a winner waiting to happen on the back of three solid runs on this surface. Punted late Noisy Boy just missed the frame after a prominent run along the inside from gate one. It was an improved effort with a return to the all-weather surface. So You Will wasn't too far away in sixth after travelling one-out, one-back from gate 11. It wasn't a bad effort at his first run on the surface. Nezha got going late to finish next best after making his run second last from gate 12.

Racing Incident Report

Race Nine : (573) - CHOI WAN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters

Horse No 2 TALENTS AMBITION (J136) Z Purton Near the 1500 Metres was restrained to avoid the heels of DRAGON AIR FORCE whilst racing in an awkward position to the inside of PACKING FIGHTER.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 LOCH TAY (K356) R Kingscote Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 TELECOM FIGHTERS (D482) Y L Chung Raced very keenly in the early stages and near the 1500 Metres was restrained and shifted out to avoid the heels of SO YOU WILL.

Y L Chung explained that after his mount was slowly away he was unable to take up a position in the lead for which TELECOM FIGHTERS normally races at its best and he felt this was the reason for the disappointing performance tonight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 6 NOISY BOY (J536) H Bentley As C L Chau was unable to make the weight on NOISY BOY, H Bentley was substituted as the rider of that horse.

C L Chau was fined the sum of $5,000.

Horse No 7 ROMANTIC THOR (K012) K Teetan Near the 1500 Metres was corrected by its rider when it initially shifted in, tightening the running of PACKING FIGHTER.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 10 SO YOU WILL (L172) A Badel Kicked a rail leaving the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the barriers and passed suitable to race.

Horse No 11 KEEN MOLLY (K386) M Chadwick Was tightened for room at the start between PACKING FIGHTER which was taken out by LOCH TAY and SO YOU WILL which shifted in marginally.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 12 PACKING FIGHTER (L112) M L Yeung Shortly after the start was tightened for room between LOCH TAY which shifted out marginally and KEEN MOLLY which was tightened when taken in by SO YOU WILL.

Near the 1500 Metres raced in restricted room for a short distance between DRAGON AIR FORCE and ROMANTIC THOR which shifted in slightly before being corrected by its rider.

M L Yeung reported that his mount did not travel well during the race having its first start on the All Weather surface tonight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Whip Rule Offences - 29 March 2026 Sha Tin Racemeeting Race 1 (554) L Ferraris (DOUBLE SHOW) was fined the sum of $5,000 in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion approaching the 200 Metres.

Race 11 (564) A Badel (MASTER TRILLION) was fined the sum of $5,000 in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 250 Metres.
