Horse No 1 IGOR STRAVINSKY (K086) P N Wong Near the 700 Metres shifted in and made contact with the running rail.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 NOTTHESILLYONE (J383) L Ferraris Made contact with the left side of the barrier on jumping.
L Ferraris was of the view his mount was allotted 134 lbs which he felt contributed to it not finishing the race off.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 WOLF COMING (K353) Z Purton Z Purton reported that his mount resented the kickback in the early and middle stages and once clear in the Home Straight finished the race off well.

Horse No 4 FUN N FUN TOGETHER (J232) H Y Yuen Shifted in abruptly on jumping before being straightened by its rider.
Horse No 6 GOOD CHAP (J499) A Atzeni A Atzeni stated that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and was also up in weights on its last start win.

Horse No 7 LEAPING STAR (L189) M L Yeung Slow to begin and was then checked when tightened for room between LIGHT YEARS GLORY which was taken out slightly by GOOD CHAP and FUN N FUN TOGETHER which shifted in abruptly before being straightened by its rider.
Horse No 8 BLASTED TALENT (L091) E C W Wong Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 9 JOLLY COMPANION (H454) K C Leung Slow to begin and was then checked when crowded for room by FUN N FUN TOGETHER which shifted in abruptly before being straightened by its rider.
Horse No 10 MALPENSA (K545) J Orman Jumped only fairly, making contact with the right side of the barrier and as a consequence lost ground.

Igor Stravinksy had a box-seat run and after leading 100m out, he kept finding for a second win from 16 starts. It was a milestone 1,600th win for trainer Tony Cruz. He appreciated the downgrade with the claim well utilised for his dirt 1,200m debut. Conrad The Great ran on nicely to finish a close second after a rails run from midfield. He is trending towards a win on this surface. Punted late Fun N Fun Together just held on for third after assuming the lead 180m out chasing the leader Notthesillyone from gate nine. It was a return to form. Light Years Glory ran on nicely to just miss a placing after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a good effort on dirt debut. Jolly Companion made some ground for fifth after straightening four deep travelling five back and on the fence from gate eight. It was another positive effort after a closing fifth last start on turf. Well-backed late Wolf Coming just plodded after a prominent run. It was an okay effort following a downgrade with a switch to dirt. Favourite Good Chap had an excuse after getting posted wide without cover the entire trip travelling midfield.
