Race Four : (568) - MA TAU WAI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 PI LEGEND (L117) H Y Yuen Apprentice H Y Yuen was reminded of her obligation under the Rules to ensure she rides her mounts out to the finish of the race and at the same time ensuring to have proper control of her mounts.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 SPEEDY SMARTIE (H108) K Teetan When negotiating the turn near the 700 Metres shifted in slightly, making contact with FLOWING RICHES, resulting in both horses getting unbalanced.
Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 FLOWING RICHES (K293) P N Wong Near the 700 Metres got unbalanced when bumped by SPEEDY SMARTIE.
From the 400 Metres was unable to improve its position when held up for clear running inside SPEEDY SMARTIE before shifting out across that horse's heels passing the 200 Metres to obtain clear running.
Horse No 5 LUCKY TOGETHER (L079) M Chadwick Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 7 TACTICAL VICTORY (K521) H T Mo A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 FORTUNE WHISKEY (J153) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 10 RISING ELITE (K544) K C Leung Began only fairly.
Horse No 11 SWAGGER BRO (K089) H Bentley Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Favourite PI Legend mustered from gate 12 to lead 900m out and kept on gamely to notch a first local win for both horse and rookie rider Nichola Yuen. He was suited by the downgrade after staying on well for fifth at his initial all-weather run last start. Punted late Speedy Smartie found one too good after a speed-chasing run from gate eight. He continues to hold his form very well this season. Flowing Riches stayed on well for third after a box-seat run. He was again third best for a third consecutive run over the dirt 1,200m despite a move to a 7lb claimer. Day Day Victory just clung on to fourth after a prominent run one off the fence. It was another honest effort. No Other Choice just failed to get up for fourth after a rails run from midfield. He will be a force to be reckoned with shortly in Class Five. Swagger Bro ran on steadily after a one-off trip from midfield to just miss fifth prize money. Like the latter, he will be one worth keeping safe with Class Five looming large. Rising Elite was next best but a long way off Swagger Bro after a one-off trip from behind midfield.
