Recap by phillip woo

Viva Chaleur tracked the speed from gate seven before claiming the lead near the 100m and drawing clear for a first win at his 36th local start. He has always run well on this surface. Macanese Master stayed on nicely for second after working overtime to find the lead from gate eight. He continues to run well with wins once across each surface and three placings from his past five starts. Noble Deluxe just failed by a bob of the heads to get second after a prominent run on the fence. He appreciated a return to the surface and trip of a win in January. Double Bingo ran on well for fourth after making his run five back and three wide from gate nine. It was another honest performance. Super Guy ran on late near the inside for fifth after making his run second last from gate 11. It was a pleasing effort following a downgrade, but he requires a longer trip. Triumphant Warrior kept on one paced after a wide trip without cover travelling midfield from gate 10. He had an excuse. Favourite Only U cost himself any chance travelling five back and on the fence after missing the kick.
