HO ALUMNI HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 SALON S (K585) M F Poon Shifted out on jumping and made contact with URANUS STAR.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 LUCKY SAM GOR (K114) C L Chau On jumping made contact with the right side of the starting gate and blundered shortly after the start.
Horse No 3 BRILLIANT EXPRESS (J321) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 4 URANUS STAR (K511) L Ferraris Bumped at the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ROMANTIC GLADIATOR (L240) A Atzeni Bumped shortly after the start.
A Atzeni reported that, in his opinion, the horse would be better suited by being stepped up in distance for its next race start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 ALL'S WELL (K294) C Y Ho Bumped shortly after the start.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
C Y Ho stated that after settling back in the field he was satisfied with his mount's finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 CALIFORNIA WAVES (K477) K C Leung Fractious in the starting gate, jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 8 SUGAR GOODSON (L303) Y L Chung Withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore).
Before being allowed to race again, SUGAR GOODSON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Raging favourite Salon S led comfortably from gate 10 and kept up a strong gallop to remain perfect in four starts. He was able to defy a 15lb rise in the weights. Uranus Star stayed on well for second after a speed-tracking run from gate 12. It was his best performance from his five outings at Sha Tin. Sunny Da Best ran on steadily along the inside for third after a rails run from midfield. It was another honest performance. Lucky Sam Gor took a while to wind up but did eventually get going for fourth after making his run five back on the fence. He might be better suited over 1,600m now. Brilliant Express got going late through the centre for fifth ridden last from gate 10. He's still trying to find his mark. Do You Just gradually faded after a box-seat run. He's shown some progress in his past two starts. California Waves ran on without threatening two off the fence after making his run second last following a slow start.
