My Day My Way was wide with cover behind midfield from gate 10 and quickened nicely near the outside to mow down favourite Greater Bae in the final few metres for back-toback wins and a second from five Valley 1,200m runs this term. Favourite Greater Bae did everything right but get the win after surging to the lead 100m out along the inside from behind midfield. He clearly has the tools to add to a win two runs ago. Amazing Kid stayed on a close third after a wide trip without cover trip for the entirety from better than midfield. It was another solid effort carrying 5lb more following a win. Smashed late in betting, Yee Cheong Glory wove a run near the inside to get up for fourth after biding his time second last from gate six. It was an encouraging effort up in grade for his first Valley start following a win. Symbol Of Strength had his chance after a rails run from better than midfield but could only manage fifth. He wasn't good enough carrying top weight following a win. Pegas was on his tippy toes 100m out after getting pestered for the lead to his outside by the late-fancied Metro Power.

Racing Incident Report

Race Nine : (553) - KWU TUNG HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 SYMBOL OF STRENGTH (K352) L Ferraris Shortly after the start was bumped by PEGAS.

Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when racing in restricted room between GREATER BAE and PEGAS which was taken in by AMAZING KID which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.

Horse No 2 GREATER BAE (L033) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 METRO POWER (K408) J Orman J Orman stated that from a wide barrier he had to make use of his mount in the early stages to cross runners to his inside and race outside the lead.

He added that as a result his mount was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 PEGAS (L075) H Bowman Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by SUGAR SUGAR which shifted out slightly.

Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when racing in restricted room between SYMBOL OF STRENGTH and AMAZING KID which shifted in.

Horse No 5 AMAZING KID (K434) A Atzeni Shifted out at the start and was bumped.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 6 MY DAY MY WAY (J519) C L Chau Lay in over the concluding stages, resulting in its rider C L Chau correcting his mount approaching the winning post.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 SUGAR SUGAR (G016) E C W Wong Shifted out slightly soon after the start and was bumped.

E C W Wong stated that from an inside barrier he was instructed to hold an on-pace position.

He added that SUGAR SUGAR did not respond strongly to his riding in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 CALIFORNIA BLITZ (J370) M F Poon Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running between SYMBOL OF STRENGTH and SUGAR SUGAR.

Passing the 300 Metres was then steadied and shifted to the outside of SUGAR SUGAR to obtain clear running.

Near the 100 Metres raced tight between CHARMING BABE and SUGAR SUGAR which shifted out slightly.

Horse No 9 YEE CHEONG GLORY (K074) A Badel Jumped only fairly and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was shifted to the inside to continue into clear running.

Horse No 10 CHARMING BABE (J513) R Kingscote Shortly after the start was crowded between COPARTNER FLEET and AMAZING KID which shifted out.

Horse No 12 COPARTNER FLEET (K342) M L Yeung Shortly after the start made contact with CHARMING BABE and then was steadied when crowded between CHARMING BABE and MY DAY MY WAY.

Whip Rule Offences - 22 March 2026 Sha Tin Racemeeting The following jockey was found to be in breach of Rule 100(3)(ii)(a) for using the whip on consecutive occasions:- Race 2 (536) H T Mo (JOY STAR) - 3 consecutive strides passing the 200 Metres - Reprimand Race 1 (535) R Kingscote (GRAND TURBO) was warned in relation to using his whip on a horse which was clearly out of contention.
