Recap by phillip woo

Circuit Champion showed no interest out the back for the most part but came from last and with one wider out to take control 10m out to make it back-to-back wins and a third from as many starts. Ka Ying Attack kept on gamely for second after leading 300m out following a speed-tracking run from gate nine. He did not mind a step back to 1,200m after a second and fifth from two prior runs over 1,400m. Young Emperor ran on nicely for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He has run well to fill the frame in his past two of three starts following a win. Well-backed South Star stayed on well for fourth after a wide trip without cover travelling midfield from gate 10. It was a good run at his first run following a bleed. Refusetobeenglish got going late down the outside for fifth travelling second last from gate three. It was an OK effort. Lifeline Express came up one paced after a rails run from behind midfield. It was a below-par effort.
