Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (533) - HYDRANGEA HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE (J325) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
When commencing to finish the race off became held up for clear running approaching the 100 Metres behind LUCKY PLANET when that runner commenced to give ground.
After being shifted to the outside of LUCKY PLANET, MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE could not be ridden out over the final 100 Metres when held up behind MATTERS MOST and LUCY IN THE SKY.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 LUCY IN THE SKY (J275) R Kingscote Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres.
Horse No 3 LUCKY PLANET (H235) M F Poon M F Poon reported that his mount was able to lead the event but failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 SOVEREIGN FUND (J402) H Bowman Slow to begin.
In the Home Straight lay in and over the final 50 Metres could not be ridden out to the finish when held up behind ARGENTO OCEAN.
Horse No 5 I CAN (H381) Y L Chung From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 6 MATTERS MOST (K154) L Hewitson Crowded shortly after the start.
Horse No 7 AURIO (K056) Z Purton Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when endeavouring to improve into a narrow run between MATTERS MOST and STRAIGHT TO GLORY.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 POWER KOEPP (E301) J Orman Between the 300 Metres and the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when racing tight to the inside of ARGENTO OCEAN.
Horse No 9 FLYING WROTE (J290) C L Chau C L Chau reported that the instructions were to go forward.
He said his mount jumped a little awkwardly and shortly after the start stumbled and following this did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
Horse No 10 STRAIGHT TO GLORY (K340) H Bentley Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 ARGENTO OCEAN (K322) A Badel Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Firming favourite Aurio settled midfield on the rails before bullying his way into the open 200m out and taking control 150m out for a second win and first over the Valley 1,200m from six starts this term. He did in a class record time. Well-backed Straight To Glory found one too good after a prominent run one off the fence. It was a better effort at his second start in Class Three after back-to-back wins. Storming Dragon ran on well for third after making his run five back on the fence. It was another honest run. Power Koepp made good ground late for fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He rarely produces a bad run over the Valley 1,200m. Argento Ocean kept on reasonably well for fifth after getting posted wide without cover travelling better than midfield the entire trip from gate nine. It was a good run at his first start in Class Three. Flying Wrote ran on without threatening with one wider out after making his run five back and one off the fence from gate 11. Lucy In the Sky gradually faded after a box-seat run. Lucky Planet tired badly after dictating the run from gate three.
