Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (529) - SHAMROCK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 VERY GRATEFUL (K396) C L Chau Bumped shortly after the start.
C L Chau stated that he had anticipated holding a slightly more forward position but his mount did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to do so.
He added in the Home Straight VERY GRATEFUL finished the race off in a one-paced manner.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 SUPERB KING (K479) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 QUARTZ LEGEND (K548) H Bowman Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 4 FREE PONY (K229) J Orman In the Home Straight lay in.
Horse No 5 GOKO WIN (H069) B Avdulla For some distance near the 150 Metres raced tight between MARVEL AND GOLD and LEGEND STAR.
Horse No 6 MARVEL AND GOLD (K109) K Teetan After being crossed by WORLD HERO making the first turn raced keenly for some distance thereafter.
Horse No 7 TRENDY RUSH (L209) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 8 FORTUNE SUPERNOVA (K287) R Kingscote Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 9 LEGEND STAR (K271) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Y L Chung stated that the instructions were to settle where comfortable.
He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to allow the horse to stride forward to hold an on-pace position.
Horse No 10 ZEPHYR (K414) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 11 MAGIC SUPER (K330) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, MAGIC SUPER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No GREEN FIELD PEARL (K460) H Bentley GREEN FIELD PEARL, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 17.3.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore).
Before being allowed to race again, GREEN FIELD PEARL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Punted late World Hero had a speed-tracking run from gate four and was too smart after leading 80m out for a third career win from 22 starts and first from eight outings over the Valley 1,200m. He had stayed on well for fourth in two recent runs at Sha Tin. Favourite Superb King succumbed late after straightening two lengths on top dictating the pace from gate 12. He appreciated a return to the Valley 1,200m of a near win in January. Free Pony ran on late near the outside for third after biding his time fourth last from gate eight. It was his best effort from five starts after a win in December. Quartz Legend made some progress through the centre for fourth after a one-off trip from midfield. He is not far off a rating bottom. Well-backed late Goko Win kept up grinding away for fifth after a handy run one off the fence. It was his best run from six starts this term. Marvel And Gold kept on one paced after a prominent run on the fence. He's limited. Legend Star weakened after sitting third wide without cover the entire trip from gate 10.
