Horse No 1 TALENTS AMBITION (J136) A Atzeni From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 100 Metres was held up for clear running behind THUNDER BLAZE when that runner shifted to the inside of TELECOM FIGHTERS to secure clear running.
Horse No 2 DRAGON AIR FORCE (J279) H Bowman Lay out on the Home Turn.
H Bowman stated that his mount settled behind midfield in the early stages.
He said due to the early and middle stages being run outside of standard time, when the pace increased from the 800 Metres, his mount found it difficult to make up ground from that position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 DEFINITIVE (K037) D B McMonagle Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 5 SKY VINO (K054) B Avdulla On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by OSI HONOUR which shifted out.
Horse No 6 SUPER JOY N FUN (J164) C L Chau C L Chau was fined the sum of $7,500 for returning 3 lbs overweight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 ROMANTIC THOR (K012) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 THUNDER BLAZE (L188) M F Poon Jumped only fairly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 ALLCASH (K190) L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that his mount jumped only fairly and as a result settled further back in the field than he had intended.
Horse No 12 OSI HONOUR (K232) K Teetan Shifted out at the start and became unbalanced when it made contact with SKY VINO.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.

Thunder Blaze ran on along the inside from better than midfield to lead 100m out and kept on gamely for a first win at his third local start. Romantic Thor stayed on well for second after getting all favours sitting third with cover from gate two. He's a winner waiting to happen with back-to-back placings following a switch to the allweather track. Definitive stayed on well for third after a handy run wide without cover from gate seven. Talents Ambition ran on nicely late near the inside to snatch fourth after making his run second last from gate 10. He is as honest as the day is long on this surface. Thriving Brothers grudgingly gave way after prompting the pace of Telecom Fighters from gate eight. It was a good job at his first run on this surface. Punted late Sky Vino ran on steadily without threatening after a wide trip with cover from midfield. Telecom Fighters was on his tippy toes 100m out after leading from gate six.
